Delhi Launches SEVA FIRST Youth Innovation Challenge 2026

On September 19, 2026, the SEVA FIRST - Rashtriya Youth Innovation Challenge was officially launched by Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood at Delhi Technological University (DTU). This initiative aims to engage young innovators in addressing significant national priorities through a structured 100-day innovation journey. With a total prize pool of ₹2 crore, the challenge promotes the development of actionable solutions that can transition from conceptual ideas to tested prototypes. Participants will not only be expected to submit ideas but also to identify real-world problems, develop solutions, and demonstrate their effectiveness in practical settings. The SEVA FIRST Innovation Challenge is part of a broader effort to empower youth in India to tackle pressing issues in their communities and across the nation. It provides a platform for young minds to engage in problem-solving across various sectors.

The challenge is organized into two main tracks: National Level Innovation, focusing on critical areas such as defence, space, and AI; and Local Community Level Innovation, addressing issues in agriculture, education, healthcare, and more. Implementation of the SEVA FIRST Challenge is coordinated by DTU, which serves as the anchor university for the Northern Region of India.
