Narasingapuram Panchayat Achieves ISO 41001 Certification

Narasingapuram village panchayat, located in Andhra Pradesh’s Chandragiri mandal, has achieved ISO 41001 certification for its exemplary infrastructure management and public services governance. This certification acknowledges the panchayat's efforts in establishing robust systems for managing public assets and delivering services efficiently to its residents. The recognition reflects the panchayat's commitment to transparency and accountability in local governance.

The panchayat has implemented various initiatives, including the creation of a digital inventory of public assets and the introduction of maintenance logs for services such as water testing, waste collection, and health services. Additionally, they have streamlined records related to tax collection and the utilization of government grants. These measures have enhanced the management of routine public administration, contributing to improved service delivery for the 755 families in the community.

Among the services provided by the Narasingapuram panchayat are the daily collection of wet and dry waste, the production of vermicompost from organic waste, and ensuring tap water connections for all households. The local infrastructure includes 1.68 kilometers of cement concrete roads, schools, anganwadi centers, and a Rythu Seva Kendra. The introduction of LED streetlights throughout the village further supports the panchayat's commitment to sustainable development.

The district collector, Dr. S. Venkateswar, congratulated the panchayat officials for their achievement, highlighting their effective management of public infrastructure and services. The certification is a testament to the systems in place for tracking maintenance, delivering services, and managing public funds, which are now documented under a structured management framework.

As Narasingapuram continues to operate its existing services in water, sanitation, and health, the ISO 41001 certification will aid in maintaining and improving these facilities.
